Real Rose Thorn Earrings

The first earrings are for stretched lobs. A stylized safety pin design that has an open structure allowing the earrings to be worn from either end. The end with the locking mechanism are recycled material from the very first pair of hoop earrings that I ever purchased. The rose thorn pendant actually was a reject because the intended rose thorn broke while I tried to set it. This pendant holds a different smaller thorn. Thus, the thorn isn't truly seated properly. It works dangling here as an accent accessory.

The second earrings have posts that are threaded chain. I wanted to make some thorn earrings besides basic posts. These are the smallest items I have ever set. The actual real thorn barely extends out 5mm. The additional small circular discs have my maker's mark. These are light whimsy sure to peek any observer's curiosity.
